Presentation Skills
• Transform your presentation into an inspiring, memorable event
• Get your key messages across with clarity and conviction
• Learn the innovative techniques of the world’s best presenters
We have all been there. Two minutes into the presentation and you know the next hour is going to be a complete waste of time. The presenter’s slides are full of boring text, every word of which is being read out aloud. There is no punch, no structure, no anecdotes, no interest.
So why do we do it?
Very few of us present in a lively, effective and persuasive way. We are often led by the software to select standard templates and approaches used by 1000s of other presenters. We are following the herd – if everyone else does it, it must be OK, right? Wrong.
There is another way
You can find many superlative presentations at www.ted.com. It looks so easy, but how do they do it? The techniques are not rocket science. The trick is to gather together all the expert advice, work out which elements are relevant for you, and then rework and practise your presentation until it is just right. This is exactly what we do with you at Riversdown House. Under supportive, protected conditions, we take your presentation apart, reassemble it in a better way, and give you the skills to deliver it convincingly.
